Cow Parade returned to San Antonio in 2025, partnering with Christus Childrens Hospital. I submitted several designs and was chosen as one of the artists to paint a life sized, fiber glass cow to be on public display in San Antonio over the summer of 2025. At the end of the summer, select cows will be auctioned to benefit the children’s hospital.Inspired by when I first moved to San Antonio and was exposed to Mexican-American culture, my cow "Cow-lavera de Azucar" is designed after a sugar skull, also known as calavera de azúcar, with the cow’s skeleton decorated with vibrant flowers and gems.
